Fox Valley Orthopedic Institute, Main Surgical Facility
How do you convert an existing trucking warehouse facility into a state-of-the-art medical and rehabilitation facility? SMC successfully accomplished this feat by creating a trusted team environment with the owner and architect/engineer. By keeping the main structure in place and accentuating the exterior with masonry stains, windows, and canopies, the team was able to achieve function and aesthetic excellence without the increased expenditure demolition and new construction would have called for. SMC acted as the general contractor on this renovation and expansion changing this facility from a warehouse into a facility outfitted with new exam, treatment, physical therapy, and administrative areas.
